Managed high-intensity ML workflows using Kubernetes, AWS EKS, Sagemaker and Helm. Setup Cluster, Logging and Data Monitoring tools using Prometheus, Cloudwatch, Grafana and NewRelic. Constructed CI/CD pipelines using AWS EC2, Lambda, CircleCI, RDS, Github Actions and implemted Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Cloudformation. Reduced Monthly AWS bill by by $4000 using CloudTrail, Fargate, Glue and Athena insights.

Research Intern

MIT, Laboratory for Computational Physiology

Investigating the effects of vasoconstrictive medication on the outcome of patients. Analysing ICU data of over 40,000 patients from the MIMIC-IV database stored on BigQuery (Google Cloud Platform) to evaluate whether use of midodrine leads to any measureable benefit. We are using Targeted Maximum Likelihood Estimation for Causal Inference alongside other doubly robust estimation techiques. The cohort of 40,000 patients from over 27,000 was created using propensity scores calculated from Inverse Probability Treatment Weighting (IPTW) using superlearning library consisting of XGBoost, Multivariate Regression and Gaussian GBM. Currently implementing secondary anaylsis to validate primary analysis.

Blockchain Trainee

Defence Research and Development Organisation

Set-up a permissioned Hyperledger blockchain for multi-organisational secure channel communication and data tranfer. Deployed network to computers on Local Area Network using Kubernetes for docker container management. The network configuarition consisted of creating multi-admins for hosting and endorsement policies for establishing member rules. Utilized CouchDB for ledger management. Integrated TLS encryption with endorsement policies for secure communication.

Machine Learning Intern

Plastic Water Labs

Created a dataset of 1000 images of normal & defective water bottles using Kaggle & image augmentation techniques. We fine tuned a transfer learning Mask-RCNN model for object detection & pixellib for image segmentation. We then created a CNN to classify the segmented water bottle image as normal/defective (as well as type of defect i.e Scratch or dent) with a 87.7% accuracy. A second CNN was created to detect the material of bottle (plastic or glass) with a 72% accuracy. The different models weights were saved as .h5 file using pickle & integrated into a single deep-learning model. Finally a web-app was created for cloud deployment of the model was created using Flask. Reduced monthly Quality analysis operation costs of the factory by Rs 12,000 (USD 160).

Developed an automated document search bot using AWS Lex for parsing user queries, Lambda for searching,ES(Elasticsearch) for indexing & S3 for storing documents in an AWS Cloudformation. Tested & debugged AWS services by making Postman API calls. Later, Developed a multi-purpose HR chatbot in Flask using Microsoft Bot Framework & Python (Waterfall Dialog) with key features like conducting polls, trivia games, leave application; automated deployment onto MS Teams, Slack, Facebook & Whatsapp using Azure's bot deployment API feature. Increased subscription model’s monthly revenue by over 12% to Rs 100,000 (USD 1400) after including the chatbot service.

Worked on developing an inventory Chatbot using RASA, an NLP framework in Python. Containerized bot using Docker & added API endpoint to Azure cloud. Deployed bot onto Microsoft Teams using Azure Cloud API. Developed REST API's for inter-bot communication & web scrapping techniques. Created custom filters for MS PowerBI for improving inventory search times using Node.Js & TypeScript & deployed custom filter into PowerBI. Developed 'measures' using DAX. Doubled the query resolution time from over 30 seconds, to on average 15 seconds for 10,000 search results.
